| | creating a protocol with serious Edyption companies --> ???
garmnent --> garments
to dedicate production to you --> ???
Please let someone else translate, and if it is accepted you can compare your translation to theirs, OK? |

| | how do you say "cutting a deal" but using the word "protocol"? cutting a protocol? doesnt work... |

| | Please correct Edyption to Egyptian |

| | marhaban, could you please do this translation? CC: marhaban |

| | This one was not so bad, no ? |
| | 5 Сентябрь 2007 05:51 |
| | OK; if you want to un-reject it, it's OK with me, but it still needs more editing than I can do, because I don't totally understand it (see my comments above), although I admit it helps that it now says Egyptian instead of Edyption!! CC: elmota cucumis |

| | Unfortunately, I can't unreject, I can only accept a rejected translation.
I'm not good enough in english to evaluate but it's just that I don't see any other member being able to translate arabic-english better than this. But maybe I'm wrong as I dont know everyone now . |

| | No - I agree. Elmota does better than anyone else. I'm going to edit it to what I think it means, and maybe Elmota can tell me if she thinks it's correct. CC: elmota |

| | yeezzz zats moch betta
but two things, the original script uses the word "protocol" as is, in English, because its very popular, although "arrangement" works fine, but i hope there is a way to fit in "protocol"
second thing is "you would be the sole producer" its the other way round... we are the producers, and we have like, mm, a special line of production for you, but there is no exclusivity in that relationship...
thank you kafe, it is hard for me because i always hated official letters, they throw so much burden at words they actually break them! |
| | 6 Сентябрь 2007 01:22 |
| | I changed the sentence that said "you would be the sole producer" to "to produce these goods exclusively for you" - is that correct?
As for protocol, I'm not aware of it being so popular in English in a business context - it sounds more political to me, which is why I changed it. |
| | 6 Сентябрь 2007 09:10 |
| | no, the production is not exclusive, thats what im trying to say, they are just saying: we will set aside some of our products with ur name on it and send them to u, u know? they do that a lot in dry good market... |
| | 6 Сентябрь 2007 13:25 |
| | OK; thanks. I'll see how I can edit it. Maybe "for you" is enough. What do you think, Elmota? |
| | 8 Сентябрь 2007 14:24 |
| | yes, the best solutions are always the simplest
thank you kafe, so now what? can u un-reject it? |
