This doesn't make sense in English. Does the original make sense? If so, something needs to be changed. I think it should either be

1) I feel that I have to spend my entire life in loneliness and distress

or

2) I feel that my entire life will be spent in loneliness and distress

sorry I made a typing mistake while translating . Both 1) and 2) are fine but 1) makes up for a more appropriate translation

Thank you - that's better. I've put it to a vote now.

First sentence:
मुझे मेरी जिंदगी अकेलेपन और परेशानी में गुजारनी होगी।

Second sentence:
मुझे लगता है मुझे मेरी पूरी जिंदगी अकेलेपन और परेशानी में गुजारनी होगी।

Again, it's the English translation I was asking about, not the Bengali original. Is it correct?

I don't translate into that language. Only to Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi & Gujarati.

Hi drkpp

I wasn't asking you to translate it. I was asking for your help in evaluating the correctness of the English translation. We don't have a Bengali expert, so I'm asking you because you speak related languages.

Ah - OK. I don't know what I'm supposed to do here. I cannot validate this translation because no-one can vouch for its correctness.

Until we got an expert for Bengali, I don't know what to do with this text either.
I'll look for some Indian member who eventually has got Bengali as her/his mother-tongue, and who can read English, I guess there are some registered at cucumis, I just hope some of them will be available ...

brinda has visited the site today, maybe the best way is to send her a private message to ask how sure she is about her translation.

I would still feel more comfortable if another person could give an opinion. I'll wait and see what deysub says.
