When Atatürk often spoke about youth, he meant the idea of youth regardless of age; that is, modern ideas. This quote of his is very meaningful: "Young minded means the right-minded who see and understand the truth." Every year our May 19th Youth and Sports Festival is celebrated with athletic performances and ceremonies in every part of the country.
