I would say the original text lacks some context, and there are several possible translations thus, eg : The "Platters" version : "You're the only one I was waiting for" and another version would be with another meaning, I wouldn't express it that fluently in English though, but the context would be : A invited B at home for dinner, but A came with C, so that A tells B : "Je n'attendais que vous", something with the same meaning as "I was expecting you to come alone".
But Alex's version is correct imo, and as the requester didn't give enough context this is the reason why I'm going to vote "I think the meaning of this translation is right"
