I sat there waiting.
For what I don't know.
If you hadn't appeared,
I would probably have been sitting there still.

The first phrase should be:
I was seated there, waiting.

And the last one:
I would be, *sans doute*, still seated there.

I don't know the equivalent expression of "sans doute" in English. If someone could help...

sans doute = doubtless
"I sat their" not correct
"I sat there" correct

sat there
About 'probably' / 'sans doute': I know this is not exactly the same but I don't think either word / expression is present in the Danish original - they are just needed to make the French and English translations sound more natural. Am I seeing that correctly, Gamine?

The word is in Danish: "NOK" = "probably" or "very likely" = sans doute = "vel nok" = "nok".

Hi again, Lein what concerns this one I agree with Minny. The word "nok" often means 'enough' but in this context I can confirm jairhaas' version.

Thank you Gamine!
@jedi2000: That is what is says in a litteral translation but it is not correct English. Thanks anyway!
