in original there aren't (my) and "about". Somebody is speaking in general, not about himself.

The last sentence is connected to the all before. Somebody want to live today. He wants to say the young people can also die.

Duguit'in de belirttiği gibi "think of" ya da "think about" tarzı bir şey olmalı ki oradaki "belirtme hal eki"(-i)ni taşısın. Sizce de mantıklı değil mi bu?

Sorry for speaking Turkish. Could I ask you what you understand from the first sentence? It has a meaning like "I just care about today". So wouldn't it be "I think of/about today?" That's what we discuss.

Bugünü düşünürüm = I think of today. If you say "I think today", it means "Bugün düşünürüm.

Gençlik = the young (the youth = (o) genç; youth = the abstract concept of "gençlik", not the people)
