Complex is a noun, not a verb. | | | 3 Março 2008 03:33 | | | Lilian,
I agree that complex is not a verb and what I've written is not a verb either. It's an adjective, similiar to complicated. | | | 3 Março 2008 04:09 | | | I'm sorry Diego, but that doesn't work either.
You can derivate an adjective from a verb (it represents the past participle of the verb)for example:
interested (from to interest)
fried (from to fry), etc, but you can't create this kind of adjective from a verb which doesn't exist.
complex is a noun and an adjective, but not a verb.
Agree?
| | | 3 Março 2008 16:13 | | | Lilian, I'm sure there is the adjective 'complexed' as well as I've written.
I'd really appreciate if somebody else, mainly an English expert, maybe Tantine, helped us with this hard task. | | | 3 Março 2008 17:08 | | goncinNúmero de Mensagens: 3706 | Calm down, folks!

Sorry Diego, but I agree with LilianCanale on this one.
None of my dictionaries give an adjective "complexed".
So it should read "He has a complex".
