I think the punctuation I used is a bit confusing. I didn't want to mean 'a dead man'.

2pac you're not dead, man. You live in my heart.

Dear Friends,
"One minute silence for my sidekick please." is ok for English translation. But it dosen't cover Türkish meaning. Because there is a differance between " my sidekick" and "my fate friend".
"fate=kader " has an another meaning. As you know, it means "I have same fate like you or I have same future like you."
Hier he wants to say " You died because of an ill I have. Therefore we have same fate.
I don't accept last line. It is "...for my fate friend."

'for the friend who shared my fate' perhaps?

How about 'comrade'? But it is very similar to 'sidekick', isn't it? (maybe a bit more formal)

'my mate'? 'comrade' has a very strong connotation with communism.

I see.

'Sidekick' is fine. You can also go ahead with your suggestion above (for the friend who shared my fate)
