	FIGEN KIRCI Cantidad de envíos: 2543	considering the text above, a few thoughts of mine: -although it has the right word to word meaning, isn't it better to say 'I am asking for your forgiveness' (or 'I beg your forgiveness') here, than 'I beg your pardon'? coz you know, 'I beg your pardon' is used more as a polite way of saying 'Sorry, I didn't get that/I didn't mean to say that/I do not agree.' -I was being ... - harass - cannot (cannot=can not=can't) - get lost

	Mesud2991 Cantidad de envíos: 1331	"I beg your pardon" simply means "sorry", Figen HanÄ±m. Here is the dictionary definition of 'I beg your pardon': used to say sorry when you have made a mistake, or said something wrong or embarrassing (http://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/beg)

I agree that 'I beg your pardon' is exactly the meaning, word by word. but, I've tried to bring your attention to the fact that this expression is not commonly used as a simple 'sorry' (at least, in my oppinion and observation).
