benim almancam iyi çünkü almanya türkiye hattında büyüdüm.
kısa süre önce ingiltereye geldim.
henüz öğreniyorum.
ama gerçekten iyi değil.
üzgünüm.
küçüklüğümden beri şehir şehir dolaşmışım
barmenlik yapmaya başladım.

Don't be fooled those who think my English is good.
My English is terrible.
My German is good because I grew up between Turkey and Germany.
I've just come to England.
Sadly I'm still learning.
But it is really not good.
I'm sorry.
Since my childhood I've moved from city to city.
I've started working as a bartender.
Also I play the guitar with bands that frequent the bar.

1. If you think my English is good don't be fooled- is not same with "ingilizcemin iyi olduğunu zannedenler aldanmasın. "
2. terrible- it's a adjectiv used for positive and negative proparties. Ä°s not good here.

"ingilizcemin iyi olduğunu zannedenler aldanmasın." is not correctly translated, "zannedenler" is plural.

"henüz öğreniyorum.
ama gerçekten iyi değil.
üzgünüm."

three sentences with a point at the end of each one. You mixed them in one sentence.

hi kfeto nice translation
you sound really fluent here, and that's what matters for a good translation!
but maybe you can change the first sentence as "Those you think my English is good, do not get fooled" or sth like that

-thanks silkworm.
too bad you're the only who feels that way.
I reverted it to a word by word translation that is not so fluent in english.
- i think you're confused with terrible as an adverb where it can be good or bad depending on the adjective used with, here when said "my english is terrible" no one can think it means my english is good
-if i can convey the same in one sentence as opposed to three, personally i feel there's nothing wrong with that.
i incorporated all suggestions

I wonder where you take that idea from.

Can "terrible" mean "good" in any sentence?

I'd like mygunes to explain that.

I think you are confusing "terrible" with "terrific", which is a multiple meaning adjective.

hmm i thought mygunes was refering to the intensity expressed when it is used as an adverb:
for instance "terribly strong"/"terribly weak"

I can't see "terribly" linked to something good either, sorry.

I still think she misunderstood the words.
Anyway, she will tell us tomorrow.

Hi kfeto,

After taking into account all suggestions and trying to make the text understandable in English keeping the original meaning as much as possible, I think you've reached a good term.
I just edited the first sentence the way it would most likely be said in English.

For the sentence you wrote "I'm sad" I turned it into "I'm sorry" which I think sounds better and still has the same meaning.
If you agree we can finally validate it right away.
What do you say?

Hello,
I want say that in my language " terrible" is use for used for positive and negative proparties.
İ look at Turkish dictionary and i find that "terrible" = KORKUNÇ,BERBAT,ÇOK KÖTÜ,MÜTHIŞ.
For me "Horrible" is AGREEABLE for this translation.
Wall, translation was accepted.
