| FreyaNumero di messaggi: 1910 | Hello Lilian, Isildur!
I need a little help here, please. I understand almost everything, I have just three questions for you to help me evaluate faster and with certainty this text:
1. 'un tesoro que ahora guardo yo' - the verb 'guardar' here is like 'to keep', 'to hold' or like 'to guard', 'to protect' ?
2. I don't quite understand "Pasó amores por siempre'...
3. 'tu amor y mi fortuna, un regalo de Dios" - mi fortuna = my fortune like in 'my riches' in the sense of wealth, or 'fortuna' like fate, destiny.
I thought like this: your love = my fortune(riqueza) = a gift from God.
Now I am waiting for your opinions also.
Thank you! CC: Isildur__ lilian canale |

| | 1- to protect, keep save
2- "pasó amores por siempe", I haven't the foggiest idea of what it means :S
3- fortuna = suerte
But it's only my opinion and I'm not the best with poems lol. Let's wait for Lilian's point of view |

| | Hi Freya,
I agree with all of Isildur's remarks. The start of the line: "pasó amores por siempe" is not understandable
Also, the end should be:
"no hay tesoro más bello
que el que me dio el Señor"
I'm sorry if we can't help more. |

| FreyaNumero di messaggi: 1910 | It's OK, I understand.
I was thinking actually that it might be an abbreviation just to keep the song measures, rhyme, these things, and instead of "pasó" could be "pasaron amores por siempre" - loves passed/are gone forever, it was a full submission(I gave into them completely)...
Smth that is logical anyway. Now it's translated 'pasó amores por siempre" as 'we made love forever [...]' If you have other ideas that could fit with the next lines, just asking...

| FreyaNumero di messaggi: 1910 | I even found the song and yes, the same
'pasó amores por siempre` appears here, too. |

| | Hum...now watching the video we notice that it's not "Tu amor y mi fortuna ", but "Tu amor es mi fortuna", therefore "fortune" here means "wealth". |

| FreyaNumero di messaggi: 1910 | Yes, so it seems. I will edit that, too.
I can leave the translation to the poll some more time, and if nothing appears meanwhile, I will write a note specifying that 'pasó amores por siempre" is not understandable. I don't know what more I can say. The user is a Spanish native and if he doesn't understand this part either, then it clearly is smth wrong. |
