The worst of all countries Is the one where no friends are found And the worst of all acts is the one for which you'll be stigmatized
Remarks about the translation
In the original text it litterally says: "The most evil of all countries" But I found that putting it like I did up there will be much better. Plus, rather than a translation what I provided is more like an interpretation. One last thing: The text is much shorter in Arabic as you can see!! This is a line of poetry, just for the info.
Hi Kafetzou
The sentence sounds ok in general but I found it hard to understand the last word.
Are you sure it's correct?
If you found it on the web please provide me with
an address.
jaq84, I don't understand why you were the person who originally put this on standby, but now you're the one who's translated it. Your translation is very elegant - did you get some help with the word you didn't know?
Kind of....I have searched the verse on the internet
to find that it is a line of poetry by an ancient
well known poet. I have mixed up meaning of the word with another.
It is like when you have two words that are written the same, but each means something different.
After searching, I found the right meaning
