The worst of all countries Is the one where no friends are found And the worst of all acts is the one for which you'll be stigmatized | | In the original text it litterally says: "The most evil of all countries" But I found that putting it like I did up there will be much better. Plus, rather than a translation what I provided is more like an interpretation. One last thing: The text is much shorter in Arabic as you can see!! This is a line of poetry, just for the info. |

The sentence sounds ok in general but I found it hard to understand the last word.
Are you sure it's correct?
If you found it on the web please provide me with
an address. | | | 13 Heinäkuu 2009 20:00 | | | It was on the status update of one of my students on Facebook. I just copied and pasted it in here. | | | 13 Heinäkuu 2009 20:01 | | | What does it mean? What's the problem with the last word? | | | 14 Heinäkuu 2009 06:58 | | jaq84Viestien lukumäärä: 568 | I've released the text...may be it is a word that
people in UAE use.
May be someone else will understand it. | | | 14 Heinäkuu 2009 07:26 | | | Thanks, jaq84. Maybe it has some connection to the Turkish word "yaÅŸam" (life). | | | 2 Elokuu 2009 19:24 | | | jaq84, I don't understand why you were the person who originally put this on standby, but now you're the one who's translated it. Your translation is very elegant - did you get some help with the word you didn't know? | | | 3 Elokuu 2009 06:59 | | jaq84Viestien lukumäärä: 568 | Kind of....I have searched the verse on the internet
to find that it is a line of poetry by an ancient
well known poet. I have mixed up meaning of the word with another.
It is like when you have two words that are written the same, but each means something different.
After searching, I found the right meaning | | | 3 Elokuu 2009 07:38 | | | Ah - thanks for the explanation. |
