När vi skaffar barn har vi en instinkt som säger vad vi skall göra för att ta hand om det, men han har inte den. Han har inte heller den information som krävs för att kunna ta hand om denna "storvuxna bebis". Ett barn är varken psykiskt eller fysiskt vilket gör det enklare att uppfostra.

Title
Get children.
Translation
Engels

Translated by gamine
Target language: Engels

When we have a child, we instinctively know how to take care of it, he doesn't, as he doesn't have the required information enabling him to take care of this "big baby" either. A child is neither psychological nor physical (...) which makes it easier to foster it.
Remarks about the translation
It seems that there may be one missing word in the last sentence "oberoende". So I would translate the last sentence this way: "A child is neither psychological nor physical "independent" which makes it easier to foster it.

Hello girls. I must admit that I found the Swedish tex a bit strange, but as I said , I wanted to give it a try. Not sure that when she's about"storvuxna bebis" she talks about herself. Agtee with Pia thta tttthe "missing word could be "independent". But Lilian, if my English is very bad just reject it. You're the expert and moreover you understand Swedish. IF the missing words will be added, I'd like to have one more try, and if it's bad, I'll stop editing in English. What do you think.

Hi Gamine,

Let's wait a little to see if the requestor can clarify what is missing.
After Pia and Lenab have decided what will be the final text you will be asked to adapt your translation, OK?

Don't worry. There is no need for a rejection.

Hi lilian. I was asking myself the same question, but I can't decide. I think that lenab's version is not that bad and we could use it if the requester doesn't answer.

I agree with Lenas version, but I do think the last world would be "oberoende" instead of "krävande". Can't one translate it as it is ...and then put Lenas suggest in the notes, as an alternative?

Well girls, what do you think of this :

When we get an infant we instinctively know how to take care of it, he doesn't, as well as he doesnt have the required information enabling him to take care of this "big baby". An infant is neither psychological nor physical independent which make it easier to foster it.

The requester seems to be far away from her computer

Lene .. I think that you have interpret the text GOOD I'm not the English expert, but the meaning seems perfect to me now.

Two small things ..maybe "infant" should be changed to "child" and since the word "independent" is the missing word ...maybe you shall exclude it and mention it as a possible word in the notes instead. ???

I'd put it this way:

"When we have a child, we instinctively know how to take care of it, he doesn't, as he doesn't have the required information enabling him to take care of this "big baby" either. A child is neither psychological nor physical (...) which makes it easier to foster it."

Hi Gamine, you forgot to remove that "as well as" and you didn't insert (...) either.
