Title
Letter for the Consulate
Text
Submitted by Satsuki
Source language: English Translated by casper tavernello

In 08/11/2006 I sent a mail to this parish church with the 'reply seal', and in 08/24/2006 it was shown me that you have received it, but you have not sent the document requested by me yet.
Remarks about the translation
"mail" ou "letter"
*"requested by me" ou "by us".
answer seal: se for um selo para que eles respondam seria "stamp for answer".
Se for para a Grã Bretanha a data fica igual a em português

Bella domanda. Onestamente non sono riuscito a capirlo quindi ho tradotto letteralmente.

When you want the reply from whose receive a letter you sent, you send it a "post-stamp for reply".
I will change it to "reply"

I understood what it meant, casper, but in Italian we don't say like that. I wonder if "reply seal" is used in English, I never heard it. And what about "paroquia"; shouldn't it be parish, or parish church?

-Well.I translated it to english and the girl who requested didn't help with anything. I was blinded about this 'selo de resposta'. I don't know an specific term for this too.'a postage stamp for replying'.
-My uncle is bishop on the town of Ponta Grossa and said it was good to translate just as 'church'.

In Italian there isn't a specific term, we say "francobollo per la risposta". About the parish: if she wants a document, it might be a certificate of baptism or marriage and these kind of documents are kept in the parish's archives. Not all churches are parish churches, when one gets christianized or married in a non-parish church, the documents are kept in the parish church on wich the non-parish church depends. I'm not a bishop, but this I know for sure.

All right.I asked for the word but i didn''t show the complete text to my uncle.Nice thing. Thanks. But I have to ask Samathalee(on the english) and Starfire (Italian) to change them.

Thanks Angry-monalisa Apple (I think she didn't like Da Vinci Code)

No, I didn't like it, but not for religion reasons (I'm not religious, anyway). It was a very cheap imitation of "The Holy Grail and the holy Bible" by Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln (1982).

Oh! I was talking about Lisa. She looked very angry that time.
I never comparated The Holly Blood and the Holly Grail with the Da Vinci Code.

Starfire, devi cambiare anche "chiesa".
"Mi è stato mostrato" è una traduzione letterale, ma non è un'espressione che si userebbe in italiano. Io direi "ho avuto la conferma" o qualcosa del genere.
Caspertavernello, plagio is plagio in Italian too.
besides the plagio, another cheap thing of that writer is the Italian he used in his books, when Italian people speak: I don't remember now what the words where, but they were very badly spelled.
