Hi Franck. It's true that the last sentences are a bit strange, nevertheless I think they can be tranlated. The last ones I would translate them as follows, but in French, because too difficult for me in English:
Si les témoins de contrôle ne s'allument pas ou
s'éteignent quand le moteur est en marche, cela
signifie que le niveau de refroidissement n'est
pas suffisant. Arrêter le moteur et remplir avec
du liquide de refroidissement. C'est
l'avertisseur propre au moteur.
This is my suggestion but of course, I can be wrong.

"Seine Selbsthilfe" ça doit être le titre de ce petit fascicule qu'on a dans la boîte à gant des Mercedes Vito concernant les contrôles des niveaux, et qu'on peut faire soi-même (selbsthilfe) . Pourquoi ces deux mots ont-ils été ajoutés en fin de texte, mystère...
