"Diæter" = maintenance money (or subsistence money) it does not (!!) mean TAX.

OOOOPS...that is a big difference, sorry!
I checked diæter again and found traktamente (swedish) and that will be....per diem or allowance for expenses in english.

Kafetzou, I'm sure TAX is a total wrong word, but should it be corrected to Anita's proposal ?

No - I never heard of "maintenance money" or "subsistence money", but "per diem" is fine if that's what you meant to say above.

That´s why I´m not an English expert! :-) My dictionary (Danish-English) is way too old, I guess... it doesn´t even mention "per diem", but now that you mention it, I can only agree, it sounds perfect.
