Y- Yes, many times we fought on an empty stomach.
2- Were you ever injured? Did you have any family?
Y- Yes, My arm and leg were hurt. My father and brother died during the war, leaving just me and my mother.
3- When do you think war is justifiable?
Y- War is only necessary when your country is attacked. Wars should only be fought in defence.
4- What was the most difficult hardship during the War of Independence?
Y- The destitution of the individual soldier, the shortness of military supplies and low number of recruits.
5- If there was a war today, would you join?
Y- Despite my age, I would be there front and center.For our independence and freedom I would even accept death.
