The same proverb as in Russian exists in Ukrainian: "За одного битого двох небитих дають"
The next question is in which case - accusative or dative - the word "success" should be used
in translation. I am inclined to thought that it would better to use the dative case, if we speak not generally but exactly about human mistakes.
