I'd only change:
I collected my courage ---> I gathered up my courage

and I'd put a comma after "If you come,..."

What do you think?

to be honest that was the only part I doubted a lot about, couldn't find the proper translation for that. I definately agree with your correction. Sounds much better!

and the comma is a must at that place for sure, I forgot.
