Gostaria de tatuar esta frase em homenagem aos meus pais. Acho o latim bonito e clássico e, por isso, gostaria de tatuar a frase nesta língua. Grata.

Thanks a lot!

Dear Alex
Some changes definitely needed:

Quibus mihi vita dederunt.
--> Eis qui vitam mihi dederunt.

vitam

No attraction of the relative pronoun allowed and no omission of the antecedant pronoun?
It's so common that I started to think that it's a firm rule.

Not this time, dear Alex. I'm sorry.

I'll try to show you when you could use the grammatical attraction. Compare the sentence with the following one:

"Eis quibus vitam meam dedi" or simply: "Quibus vitam meam dedi".

"eis" and "quibus" = the same case (dative). That's why the attraction is possible here, but not in your sentence.

I've found attraction also when both the antecedant and the relative were declined in different cases. However I must say that it's extremely difficult to understand those sentences, so I accept your suggestion, which is far more clear.

Who said that Latin was easy?

I've never thought Latin was easy!
In my opinion, Ancient Greek is much simpler than Latin

Ha, ha, I claimed exactly the same during studing both of them...
