It was too early to go out. It is 30 kilometres to London. There are a lot of apples in the tree. Are there any eggs in the refrigerator? The clock says 3.30, it's too late. There was nothing I could do. It was warm yesterday. There were no stamps on the postcard. Was there any letters for me? Is it four o'clock now? Was there anybody in the room when you came in? It's 40 degrees in the sun. There was no water in the dessert. | Remarks about the translation | My guess is that "33" should be "3.30". |

The translation is OK, but it seems to me that it is homework.
Someone needs to practice the verb "there be" and has to create sentences using it.
är du med på det?

I didn't thought about it earlier, my fault, anyway...
I guess it's to late to remove it now? | | | 23 February 2008 20:50 | | | No, I didn't mean it should be removed.
Just pointed out that it looks like homework for all of us to be alert to this kind of text. | | | 23 February 2008 21:20 | | | Hemläxa!!
Just a suggestion:
Klockan är halv fyra (3:30) = It's half past three (=It’s 3:30) | | | 24 February 2008 05:51 | | | Well, Pia:
in any case, there are some things to be corrected.
...in the trees
"Was there any letters for me?"
either
Was there any letter for me?
or
Were there any letters for me?
There was no water in the desert

I think that dramati already has accepted this one. Lilly: this is about one tree. And for sure it should be desert, not dessert, misspelling! |
