Could you provide a bridge for evaluation, please?
Thanks in advance. CC: Efylove | | | 1 July 2010 18:14 | | | First of all, I think the text should be edited: "Vae vobis, eo" or it is hard to understand.
The bridge is:
"Woe to you, I come"
| | | 1 July 2010 18:23 | | | Edited!
But...is it "I come" or "I go"? CC: Efylove | | | 1 July 2010 18:43 | | | Uhm...
I've used "I come" because I think - according to the note under the original text - here we have a military background. So I've read the sentence as a warning to enemies: "Woe to you, beacause I'm coming to defeat you".
But it's just a supposition... | | | 1 July 2010 18:50 | | goncinNumber of messages: 3706 | Hi, Efy and Lilian.
Efy's interpretation is very plausible, she's seen the things through another perspective. Better than mine (litteral), definetely.
So better: ¡Ay de vos!, estoy llegando. |
