Title
Det är i Venedig som den stackars frustrerade hemmafrun upptäcker..
Translation
Sweeds

Translated by sophie_qui
Target language: Sweeds

Det är i Venedig som den stackars frustrerade hemmafrun upptäcker att hon kan förändra sitt liv och livet för de personer hon möter.

För första gången i sitt liv börjar hon jobba, alla tycker om henne och en man förälskar sig i henne.
Remarks about the translation

The problem is that the first word is "E" and not "È" as she translated. (Literally "Och i Venedig som....".

Xini, sophie_qui
Should it be: "Och det är i Venedig som..."

?

Ja, men hen säger att "och" är inte god att börja en svensk mening...

...Jag tror att hon har rätt där
I thought this text was a extract from something and maybe you could begin a sense with "Och"..if there is something written before.

The swedish is fine and if the meaning is ok now (?)...I think that we should accept this.

Could it be better conveyed by "At the end, in Venice, ..." ?

Xini, since I don't understand Italian , I can't tell...is that what the source text 'say'?

Something like this, but I bet it's not completely translateable.

So, If "Och i Venedig" sounds wrong, You can use the equivalent of "At the end" or leave it as it is.

Sorry for the nag.. but do you mean like this:
"Det är slutligen i Venedig som.."

The italian is literally:

And in Venice the poor housewife realizes that she can..."

"And" has a little nuance of conclusion too.
So you can try to get the best out of it.

No, maybe "det är slutigen" does not sound very ok.

Thanks Xini for your explain,
I can't find a better way to write than sophie_qui already done, so this is to be accepted now.
