Δεν καταλαβαίνουμε ποιο είναι το «κοινό» που...
Text
Submitted by glavkos

Title
We don't understand
Translation
English

Translated by glavkos
Target language: English

We don't understand what we have in common with our bosses, who can freely "migrate" their capital to buy or sell our lives and our dignities cheaply.

We stand in solidarity alongside the socially excluded and the immigrants, sharing with them the common experience of being exploited and dominated.

We insist on solidarity, which is actualized collectively, and organized "bottom up", since solidarity is the only means that can prevent the looting of our lives.
Remarks about the translation
please correct it if possible

Editor's note: Done √
Note: I took out the first set of quotation marks, as they're not necessary in English.

Hi glavkos,

I do not know Greek, but considering the English text, I would write:

--"stand with solidarity/stand solidarily/ alongside" [without "by" which duplicates the sense given by "alongside".]

--"of exploitation and domination" => "of being exploited and dominated". [Just a logic guess]

--"organizing" => "organized". [Same as before]

Said this, I do not understand clearly what "the looting of our lives" means...

(I hope to be of some help.)
Regards!

Another proposal for the last sentense:

We insist on solidarity, which is actualized "from the bottom up", collectively and in a self-organized manner, since solidarity is the only means that can prevent the looting of our lives. "
