There is nothing really wrong about your text. However, it sounds better to use the non-passive voice. "It [the chapter] discusses" instead of "____ is discussed."
Your use of shortly makes me wonder, do you mean "soon", which is what "shortly" means, or do you mean "briefly", which means "without using a lot of words"?
