Lugha inayolengwa: Kiingereza
On the 4th of July 1996, TM walks through the park with her 12-year-old daughter B on their way home from a party. They are attacked by a gang of men, who are drunk and high. Both get abused. Teena was raped. It happens in a dirty boathouse.
The police reach the crime scene just after the culprits got away. The technical evidence together with the daughter's testimony ought to lead to an obvious conviction. How could they be judged “not guilty†when it was so evident that they were guilty? No court of justice in the world should let it happen. But that they were acquitted has a reason. Money! Those young men, a gang of close pals and brothers, have families that are ready to pay the lot.
