the wide sea. | Çeviriyle ilgili açıklamalar | Acc. to an Old Icelandic dictionary â€Dægur†should be translated as â€half a day†(could be night or day) but I guess it sounds a bit odd to write so? I wrote “Day†instead.
“úthafsmiðum†= “outerseafisheriesâ€â€¦ interpreted it as the wide sea. |

If I would translate the first verse, I would do it like this:
The mind enchanted by
the strait, heath and pass;
the passage of hope is chosen
westward Breiðafjörðinn.
