Whatever - the German original has "nichts" ('nothing') as well. I'm not intending to be "romantic", am I? However, I think "no one" works as well, but maybe for polling purposes...

Sorry. Perhaps it's not very important but : " Es gibt nichts was" means "there is nothing i could"
instead of" There's no one I could". My German is a bit rusty so I may be wrong.
