Îmi e dor de tine. Nu poţi veni mai inainte de Crăciun? Să ai grijă de tine, să fi cuminte şi să nu te apuci de prostii că te bat.
Remarks about the translation
that text was an sms in my mobile.I dont speak or write romanian and I cant understand what it is about. I dont also know if vulgar language is used.could you please translate it for me in american english ? thank you very much
I miss you. Can't you come before Christmas? Take care of yourself, behave and don't start doing silly things, or I'll beat you.
Remarks about the translation
That "don't begin to do silly things" is a very familiar way of suggesting, for example, not to have an affair or not to date other people in the mean while. Can also be just a way of talking, without a precise sense. The same of "I'll beat you". This is currently use by people for expressing a disapproval for a future behave. Does not mean, literally, you will be hit, is just a verbal "warning" said in a funny way
