You can forget the translation. The bridge for it would have been :
Both the big ears and the small ears carry secrets to the grave.

However I made some research and found out that the text is related to two tribes which inhabited the Easter Island (Rapa Nui).
Apparently the "long eared" dominated the "short eared" making them create those fabulous sculptures of the island. you can see the sculptures here.

So I think the correct translation should be quite different.
