You make a translation and then you are obviously the expert who has to accept it, and naturally (one should hope) you are sure that you've translated it correctly - yet you set up a poll claiming you don't understand the original? What's up with that, pray tell? Should others do that too before accepting their own translations?
Sorry, all puzzled. | | | 24 Μάϊ 2008 05:23 | | | Hi Ollka,
Don't be so puzzled!
Yes, when we do a translation into a language we are to evaluate, we set a poll in order to get the other users' support on that validation. This gives the others the chance of correcting our work if needed. We are experts, but we can fail now and then.
When we validate our own work this way, with overwhelming positive votes, no doubts will be raised about it being correct.
This is my opinion and the way I like to do things, but we are not "required" to do so. It's just a matter of choice.
Thanks for asking, I guess it may look weird saying that "I don't understand the source language" once we have translated it, but that's just the denomination of the device. | | | 24 Μάϊ 2008 03:06 | | ollkaΑριθμός μηνυμάτων: 149 | Gotcha. Less puzzled. Thankful. You clever.
