Your translation is very nicely worded, but I have a feeling, based on the French translation, that this had not been the intent. In French they used 'l'esprit tranquille' (an easy mind) to translate 'rest', so I think perhaps in this case we need the 'relaxed' sense of 'rest', which also makes more sense in this phrase. Could you try to change your translation accordingly?
