"mais s'il vous plaît venir,..." is not correct in French, it makes this short proposition hardly translatable, because "venir" is an infinitive form, it is the same as if I was telling you in English : "but please, to come..." . So either it is " mais s'il vous plaît, venez" ("but please, come..." or "mais s'il vous plaît de venir" ("but if you'd like to come"...)
Looks like the guy is not a French native, or maybe did you erroneously type the text yourself?
| | | 25 March 2009 11:29 | | | Dennis, watch out, because this text is very loose! I should have set it in stand-by and wait an answer from the requester CC: Urunghai | | | 25 March 2009 11:30 | | | Oops, didn't see your message in time
I know it's no correct French, so I translated it literally and added a note on the bottom. | | | 25 March 2009 11:32 | | | After all this is a "meaning only" request, no problem, then you left a remark about the French text, so it's ok with me! | | | 25 March 2009 11:35 | | | Hello Francky
He is not, he is swedish .. :-)
I copy pasted the text, so the text i exately as he wrote it..
But it is so kind of you, to try to make i readable.
Kind regards Anne | | | 25 March 2009 13:48 | | gamineNumber of messages: 4611 | Hello Francky. Have just put in in stand-by again. I found it on my profile page. Just noticed there has been a discussion about it. Do you really think we should translate it, if yes, let me know and if you release it I'll do my best.
CC: Urunghai | | | 25 March 2009 14:07 | | | Yes, you can translate it according to the English version, as this seem to be the only sense this text can make ever. Then as it is a "meaning only" translation I think the meaning was matched. | | | 25 March 2009 14:11 | | gamineNumber of messages: 4611 | Don't have the English translation, but will do my best from the French one. Thanks Franck.
Ouups. The Danish translation is already done. |
