But I've learned on an old european proverbs book that it could be this way.
And I thought that 'blink' could be a funny variation of it or something like that!

Casper, it's definitely a typo (typing error) - "blink" is not an adjective in English, so this is impossible. It should be changed to "blind".

I just changed it.

This reminds me of a personal anecdote.

I was in England in the late 80s on a visit home with my Guillaume (my nearest and dearest). In the pub he wanted to "manage on his own" so we told him what we wanted, (beers mostly!!) someone wanted a packet of "plain" crisps, but Guillaume misunderstood or misheard and asked the barman for a packet of "blind" crisps.

I guess they are made from potatoes from which we have removed the "eyes".
