The singer Tarkan said that because of security concerns he did not accept the invitations to give concerts in Afghanistan and Iraq because of security concerns. "Security is quite weak;" he said, "the best thing for us to do is tag along with our own right here. I really want to go. We really should put on our shalvar and go without anyone noticing." 1) shalvar are a kind of baggy pants worn by traditional people in both regions
2) I wasn't sure about "çaktırmadan", which I translated as "without anyone noticing".
3) The phrase "güvenlik gerekçesiyle" is said twice in the original, so I wrote it twice in the English ("because of security concerns"). |
