I have tagged this for an admin to look at, as an example of our current processes.

How long was this source on Cucumis before it was submitted for a poll? Many translators voted in the poll, but I did not need a poll in order to evaluate it. Had I been able to find the request sooner I would have evaluated it instantly and saved a lot of other translators' time.

A poll was set (by me) for this text translated also by me, because as Kafetzou says I was the ONLY active expert until a few days ago and if I didn't set polls for my own translations they would never be evaluated, besides, we are not supposed to accept our own translations without polling them.

Let me tell you about this new feature which was implemented a few months ago.
"This evaluation is managed by so-and-so" means that the other experts should NOT interfere, even if the evaluation takes a long time (in that case an admin will certainly ask the expert what is going on)

What is going on?

A poll is unnecessary for this translation because I can evaluate it without one.

If what lilian canale says is true, then it would be better if other experts do not even SEE the requested translation. I look for work I can do, as an Expert, but most of what I see is something that, according to lilian canale, I am NOT TO DO.

Here I find some work I CAN do and lilian canale tells me I "interfere".
