Joshua is the Messiah. | | First of all the Hebrew is not properly done. There are typos in the Hebrew and missing letters.
The meaning is fairly understandable, in spite of this, and I have translated it above. Joshua is the Hebrew name of Jesus (a Roman name taken from the Greek) |

Jesús es el MesÃas. | | "Joshua" (Josué)and "Jesus" (Jesús) are the same name in Hebrew. But western languages like English and Spanish distinguish between Joshua and Jesus - they are two separate characters from The Bible. Joshua is the man from Book of Joshua and Jesus is the Messiah, so I believe that "Jesús" would be a better translation. Anyway, if someone wants to keep the Hebrew feel in this translation, "Josué" isn't incorrect (as fas as you keep in mind that it's in fact Jesus Christ (Jesucristo). PS Note that in his book "Master and Margarita" Bulgakov calls the crucified man "Joshua". |
