"waiting for life" seems more fluent in English. But I'm not an English expert.

I suggest to change the word "quay" (of a port/harbour) by "platform" (of a station).

It's written "quay".

Meant is a quay (of a port)not a platform (of a station)

Some times the words have to be switched around to give more mening or "sound better" when spoken.
More correct would be: i don't want to stand on the dock, and wait for life any longer. I want to live it.

I'm not a Dane, but I think "vil" is a stronger word than "wish", so maybe replace it with "want".

Agree with Tg33. If one turns it this way:"I don't want to stand on the quay waiting for life any longer. I want to live it.", In my opinion it would sound more fluent in English.

"want" is stronger than "wish".
In the context, I'd rather choose "want", because the will is more important.

Thanks all!
I changed 'wish' into 'wait'.
As for word order, especially since this is a more or less poetic formulation, I think your options are all correct but so is the original one. I think this is a matter of preference so let it as it was.
Thanks again for your input!
