Laura, j'ai refusé une traduction française du terme "overwhelmed" par "accablé", parceque ce mot a une connotation négative en français, donc antinomique par rapport aux mots "tolèrance" et "générosité", qui sont quant à eux des termes à connotation positive.
Par contre, je suis surpris par l'emploi, en anglais, de "with", je pensais qu'on disait "to be overwhelmed BY s.o" et non pas "to be overwhelmed WITH "
Le terme français qui conviendrait le mieux est sans doute "comblé".
Pourrais tu me confirmer que "overwhelmed with" a bien une connotation positive employé dans ce texte, ou si, au contraire, il n'exprime que le côté "embarassé" généré par TROP de générosité et de tolérance (ce qui resterait tout de même antinomique, ou confèrerait au sens de la phrase un caractère ambivalent)
Merci de ces précisions, qui m'aideront à valider ou non une traduction française à venir..

"overwhelmed by" might be better - it's just that I didn't know whether it was meant to be positive or negative, but I just got confirmed that it's supposed to be positive.

Are we talking about generosity of spirit of or of a more "monetary" one? Neither the English or the French translation helps me
