How are you, my darling? I've missed you much. In a little while, I will come by your side. Discharge is coming closer. |

Poslednja poruka | | | | | 24 Maj 2009 14:27 | | | Hi Sunny,
"A little left"...do you mean "in a while/it won't take long"?
Could you explain this line?: "Deadlines come to an end in no time flat." I'm afraid I don't fully get it | | | 24 Maj 2009 19:10 | | | Hi Lilly,
"A little left" - I meant here, that the person who tells this phrase is far away from his girlfriend and he will come to his darling soon, so she needs to wait just a bit more (a little left to wait).
And this one "sayılı gün çabuk geçer" (as I translated "Deadlines come to an end in no time flat" ) - people on military duty may say this phrase (surely, not only them), literally it would be like: "The days, which are counted, pass quickly". So I translated it this way: deadline (militaty duty); come to an end - finishes; in no time flat - very quickly.
Maybe it's really not very correct, so any your corrections are welcome | | | 24 Maj 2009 19:26 | | | OK, I've made some edits in order to sound natural in English. Tell me if you agree. | | | 24 Maj 2009 19:38 | | | Yes Lilly, I think it's good and conveys the meaning.
Thank you
I wish one day I can feel this naturalness in English language too... Maybe more practice will help me. | | | 25 Maj 2009 10:40 | | | how are you my darling?there is a little time.i miss you so much.i will come to your side.the counted days passe quickly. |
