Could I ask you a bridge for evaluation, pls? CC: lilian canale | | | 15 Fevereiro 2011 14:30 | | | "Life changes when you change" | | | 18 Fevereiro 2011 17:08 | | | Thank you, Lilly.
I have only one doubt.
"Life changes"
Is this a life which changes something or a life which is changed by itself?
"you change".
Is it "you" who changes something, or "you" which is changed by him/herself.
I'm asking because English has no "medium voice", so it always uses active voice, for example
I change him. /active/
I change myself./medium/
There is not a medium voice in Latin too, but it is replaced by a "passive voice"... CC: lilian canale | | | 18 Fevereiro 2011 17:53 | | | I thought it was clear
It means that if you want to change something in your life, you, yourself must change. | | | 18 Fevereiro 2011 20:41 | | | Thank you Lilly! Yes it was clear for me, but Latin translation was expressed in the active voice and it suggests that an object is different than a subject.
Alex, I believe you should have used the passive voice here (with medial meaning):
Vita mutat quando tu mutas -->Vita muta tur quando tu muta ris.
Do you agree?
