would you please help me with the second sentence here? Does it mean "Hope you'll succeed in forgiving me soon" (I know it's not lexically correct, so just for the sake of finding out the meaning). Or does it say "Hope I'll succeed in doing smth so you'll forgive me"?

And I have a suggestion for the first sentence:

Я на самом деле очень хочу увидеть тебя, но я все никак не соберусь (сделать это).

The translation of the last sentence is "I hope I will soon manage it (=to meet you), so that you'll forgive me", like the latter of your suggestions.

I agree of course, if it sounds better to a native speaker
