Text

Source language: Boisnís

"čija li si, sele, moja nisi
moja nisi, sele, čija li si
čije li su, sele, grudi bele
čije li su sad kad moje nisu"
Remarks about the translation
Hallo,

Title
"whose are you, sister, not mine not mine, sister,...
Translation
English

Translated by Lazybug
Target language: English

"whose are you, sister, not mine
not mine, sister, whose are you
whose are, sister, the white breasts
whose are they now if they're not mine"
Remarks about the translation
The literal meaning of "sele" is "moving", but that can't be right. It's probably a meaningless padding word meant to make it rhyme, or maybe some kind of a title/name which he calls her.

note from requester: this is an old word for 'sister', according to a reference I found

"Whose are you" is meant as "whose wife/girlfriend are you"

Only yesterday I accidentally found out what the text means in german so I know that your translation is right. I also found out that "sele" is an old word for sister. Thank you very much.
