Cinzas da guerra
Text
Submitted by michele ladislao
Source language: Portaingéilis (na Brasaíle)

Está tudo tão quieto
Está tudo tão silencioso
Nossas crianças foram embora
Para outra terra
By, by ,by, por favor não chorem
Nós prometemos a vocês
Nos veremos em breve
Após as cinzas da guerra
By, by, by, crianças adeus.
Nossas crianças se foram para outra terra
By, by, by,
Crianças nao chorem
Nós prometemos
que voltarão logo
By, by, by, crianças adeus
Remarks about the translation
não precisa ser escrita ao "pé da letra", ja que é pra ser uma musica.

Title
ASHES OF WAR
Translation
English

Translated by hitchcock
Target language: English

It's all so quiet
It's all so silent
Our children have gone away
To another land
Bye bye bye, please don't cry
We promise you
We'll see each other soon
After the ashes of war
Bye bye bye, children, goodbye
Our children they have gone away to another land
Bye bye bye
Children don't cry
We promise you
You'll be back soon
Bye bye bye, children, goodbye

acredito que o trabalho de encaixar melodia e letra seja tarefa do compositor..

I believe that fitting in melody with lyrics is a composer's job...

Just little spelling mistakes in "goodye" and "dont"

just a few comments: two times in the translation, it says "goodye" and not "goodbye". I believe it should also say "we promise you that you´ll be back soon" ("voltarão" refers to the third person in the plural). Last comment: remember the "´" in "please don´t cry" (it says "dont" :-)

Yes, it's about an English version, but I can't speak a perfect English, so I need some details (it's right?) that's the reason why I looked for translation. Thanks for everybody! For example, I didn't know that "our children have gone away" when I wrote, I just put "our children have gone", is it ok too?and can i write "grey´s war"?´cause i saw a film and it called "grey´s war"about the 2°war and also because the sky was aways grey when the soldiers burned the people.
