| Remarks about the translation | |

| My friend from Sarajevo works on innovations... | TranslationEnglish Translated by pyana | Target language: English
My friend from Sarajevo works on innovations. He mostly works on innovations in the auto industry and electro-industry.
He owns an invention which can be used to move cars without starting an engine. Just imagine how helpful that would be if your car broke down on the crossroads, on the highway, or to taxi drivers who move their cars in the driving line. And the importance of that for the environmental protection is indescribable, because you can move the car without starting an engine.
He also has an innovation for moving windmills without the wind. Imagine an electricity production without being dependent on the wind.

Good work! I'd just change the structure of the sentences:
"Just imagine how could that be helpful if your car broke down on the..."
into; "Just imagine how helpful that would be if your car broke down on the..."
and
"And how important that is for the environmental protection is unspeakable.."
into; "And the importance of that for the environmental protection is indisputable..."
I don't know the exact word used in the original for the word "indisputable" I suggested, but I think it can also be "indescribable". You tell me. | | | 27 August 2008 19:19 | | | Thank you lilian canale,
I agree with the changes, looks better.
And yes, that's the word. It's more like indescribable, inexpressible...but indisputable could work as well. And I kinda liked the word unspeakable, so I left it there. If you still think I should change it please tell me. | | | 29 August 2008 00:53 | | | "unspeakable" brings to my mind the ideia of something awful or painful. I edited to "indescribable" which will not be misunderstood, OK? | | | 29 August 2008 09:43 | | | | | | 29 August 2008 09:48 | | | | | | 29 August 2008 11:18 | | | "break down" instead of "broke down" | | | 29 August 2008 11:30 | | | Hi BORIME4KA,
That would be grammatically incorrect. Check Conditional Sentences...
| | | 1 September 2008 09:28 | | | It's not so much a mistake, but I would use "when" clause instead of "if" in the 4th sentence. The rest is good. |
