I had problems transating the word "Melodik". Also, in the first five words it seems like there's something missing. What is the referent for "das" (the 5th word)? |

The complete sentence is:
Sehr glücklich scheint mir auch die Lösung zu sein, das er trotz aller tondichterischen Schilderungen der Vögel das Geschwirre der mannigfachen Stimmen nicht Selbstzweck werden läßt, sondern die Tonschilderungen einer breit und warm empfundenen Melodik einordnet.
It may help you to know that this is a review written in 1920. It is an Austrian musician who talks about a new opera of a German composer.

RumoTổng số bài gửi: 220 | It's "daß", exchanging "das" and "daß" is an error that is made quite often, even by Germans. Btw, "daß" is actually written "dass" since a few years ago - but everybody understands it when you write "daß", just wanted to mention that. [And sorry for my English..] | | |
