By "gale" you mean lots of wind?
Maybe "storm" would be better or even "tempest"!!
I think it would read better too if you changed "of" to "in"

With the word "storm", which has replaced "gale", either seem possible in English.
I still prefer "in" to "of", but if "of" is closer to the Turkish version, then its ok to put "of".
