| Hello, allow me to take a few moments of your precious time... | TranslationEnglish Translated by fatsrir | Target language: English
Hello, allow me to take a few moments of your precious time; moments in which I will tell you a few facts I've learned over the last years.
I'm not sure from where I draw the courage to address you, and perhaps some of you will disrespect me and my desire to share my experience and consider it fascinating.
But I hope not, I hope you could take a few moments and listen to me, and I will be able to listen to myself addressing you. So, this is a request for mutual attention.
Thank you | Remarks about the translation | it was hard, is the text originaly in hebrew?
instead of "source", i thought about inserting "origin".
הקשבה הדדית i chose attention instead of listening. |

שוב תודה | | | 27 December 2008 23:22 | | | בכיף! | | | 7 January 2009 20:39 | | | Hi fatsrir,
Could you please capitalize the pronoun 'I' so that we can start evaluating the rest? | | | 8 January 2009 10:06 | | | Instead of 'disrespect', I think it would be better to write 'insult'.
Except that, I think it's fine. | | | 8 January 2009 11:58 | | | insult doesn't fit here.
insult is to say something disrespectful.
disrespect is to think it.
insult להעליב
disrespect לזלזל | | | 9 January 2009 14:19 | | | First of all, well done, fatsrir.
However (and there is always a however), several small things occur to me:
- First sentence - 'moments in which', not 'on which'
- For the beginning of the second sentence I would suggest, "I'm not sure from where I draw the courage to address you..."
- End of second sentence: "and to consider it fascinating", not 'considering it fascinating'.
I'm not sure about that bit with attention, but if Sharon is happy with it - it's just fine. |
