Is that a Turkish proverb? In German we have a proverb which is "Alte Liebe rostet nicht" = "Old love does not rust".

I'm not sure it's a proverb, since the meaning of the sentence is "old loves are not forgotten", (it's a meaning only one) the translation you give seems correct to me.

It's not a proverb.

It looks like a kind of a motto
"vieille amitié ne craint pas rouille", it exists in French too (I've got it writen on some dessert plates at home)

I agree vith Salvatore and Franck. We have the same in Danish. "Gammel kærlighed ruster ikke". Signifies exactly the same as the German one.
